Join ceramicist Laura Hollis for a fun and creative workshop making your very own sea or beach monster.
Using excellent quality air dry clay young artists will learn professional hand-building techniques to build their quirky monster inspired by the Sea side, scalely skin, googly eyes, let their imaginations go wild, with time to paint lots of funky colours.
No kiln needed, leave your monster to harden at home. Bring a box (or cage) to transport your monster home.
One monster per participant.
Workshop will take place in the St George’s Arts Centre main gallery as part of our Great British Summer Holiday exhibition.
Suitable for ages 4+
Workshop facilitated by Laura Hollis
Workshop lasts approximately 1.5 hours.
Workshops must be booked in advance via the Woodville Box Office.
Please note, children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by an appropriate adult at all times throughout the workshop. Adults do not need to book a place if only assisting the child.
We aim for our workshops to be as inclusive as possible and invite everyone to attend. However, if the participant has additional needs, please contact us in advance via: artsandculture@gravesham.gov.uk so that we can make our facilitators aware.
Photography and Videography may take place at any of our workshops/events for future advertising. We will always make you aware before we take any photographs, and if we intend to take shots other than completed artwork, backs of heads or hands, then we will always ask you to complete a permission form beforehand. Should you not wish to be photographed at all, please inform the member of staff.
