Get Creative – Workshops for Adults
Our programme of monthly creative workshops for adults to learn new skills, enhance existing ones or rekindle the love of an old hobby.
Meet, Learn, Create, Enjoy
Each month we offer you a different activity to try which hopefully you will want to continue with at home.
The workshops
are designed to bring people together, learn skills, have fun and connect with
each other. We aim for the sessions to be relaxed, friendly and offer a space
where people’s creativity can flow. All are welcome (ages 18+ only) with no
specific level of skill required.
December: Foil Embossing
Get into the Christmas spirit with this creative workshop where you'll emboss metallic foil to craft shimmering decorations. No experience needed, just a love for all things festive and shiny!
In this workshop you will learn the skills to create an embossed foil decoration; then it is time to make your own. Either use some of the templates provided or freehand your own designs. There will be a helping hand available and time to work at your own pace. At the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with:
· A collection of metallic decorations to be proud of
· Ribbon to hang them individually or string them together to make a garland
· The confidence and skills to produce more embossed foil creations
· A relaxed feeling, having taken time to unwind whilst indulging your creativity.
