Felted Seascape workshop

Join us on Gravesend Town Pier at our November pop-up weekend to make a wet felted seascape.

Work with local textile artist Grace Akehurst in this relaxed workshop.
You will learn the wet felting technique which involves laying out loose wool fibres to create a seascape. By adding soapy water and friction you can turn the fibres into a solid piece of felt.

Workshop must be booked in advance.

This workshop is suitable for adults (18+)

Please note that this workshop is the same workshop that formed part of our Get Creative programme at the St George’s Arts centre in May.

We aim for our workshops to be as inclusive as possible and invite everyone to attend. However, if the participant has additional needs, please contact us in advance via: artsandculture@gravesham.gov.uk so that we can make our facilitators aware.

Photography and Videography will take place at this workshop and the rest of the event on the Pier for future advertising. If we intend to take shots other than completed artwork, backs of heads or hands, then we will always ask you to complete a permission form beforehand. Should you not wish to be photographed at all, please inform the member of staff.
