Baileys & Baubles

Join us on Monday 1^st December at the St George’s Arts Centre Café for a special festive creative experience with Tina Grimwood from Loop and Flow Calligraphy.

Enjoy a festive Baileys and mince pie whilst getting creative!

This hands-on adult workshop combines the joy of modern calligraphy with festive decoration, as participants learn to letter and design their own personalised ceramic Christmas baubles.

Attendees are guided through the fundamentals of modern calligraphy, using specially designed worksheets to practise letterforms and festive words. Once confident, participants will apply their skills to design and hand-letter two ceramic baubles—perfect as keepsakes or thoughtful gifts. Each participant will leave with their two decorated baubles, their practice worksheets, and the knowledge to continue exploring modern calligraphy at home.

The process of learning and practising calligraphy is meditative and calming, encouraging mindfulness and creativity. It’s a wonderful, screen-free way to de-stress during the busy festive season.

Ticket includes calligraphy bauble workshop; baileys drink and a mince pie.

Notes for all workshops

We aim for our workshops to be as inclusive as possible and invite everyone to attend. However, if the participant has additional needs, please contact us in advance so that we can make our facilitators aware.

Photography and Videography may take place at any of our workshops/events. We will always make you aware before we take any photographs/videos, and if we intend to take shots other than completed artwork, backs of heads or hands, then we will always ask you to complete a permission form beforehand. Should you not wish to be photographed/videoed at all, please inform the photographer/videographer.
